Kito Model School was founded in 2015 by the two ladies; Mrs. Kambine Rosette Ankunda and Madam Kateita Joseline who were biological sisters and daughters to late Mzee Kateita Xavier and their beloved mother Omukaikuru Febronia Kibetenga who still lives to date.

Its formation was inspired by the desire to offer affordable yet quality education to the young ones of the people of that area and the neighborhood.

Kito Model School is a Primary school in Uganda, Mixed Day and Boarding found in Kampala, Bweyogerere Division, Kirinya Ward and Kito-B.

The school has both Nursery and Primary sections

SCHOOL BACKGROUND

The school was established in 2015 under rented premises operating from four temporary classrooms – baby class, middle, top and Primary One being run by three teachers in names of Tr. Mashemererwa Mahala, Tr. Kasumba Rose and Madam Kateita Joseline as the school administrator with an increasing total population of eighteen learners for the two consecutive years.

It was in 2017 that Mrs.  Kambine Rosette Ankunda, the Directress, planned and settled down to organize the school. She bought the 1^st plot of land, on it, in the same year, two permanent classrooms were built.

Through her and the then staff members, the population increased to 200 pupils.

She continued to purchase more plots of land and with the help of the staff, she managed to put up more permanent classrooms as the school developed.

In 2018, the population increased to 300 learners and the name of the school started sounding within and outside the locality.

Current Kito Model School had originally started as Kito Infant School. Under two Directresses;

1. Ankunda Rosette Kambine(Mrs)
2. Kateita Joseline

In year 2019 Mrs Kambine Ankunda Rosette wished to register the school with the ministry of Education and Sports.

She started on the process, under the guidance of URSB responsible for registration of companies, she was advised to change the name of the institution to KITO MODEL SCHOOL, here the name was changed and the Board of Directors changed too.

Today Kito Model Directors are;

1. MR. KAMBINE INNOCENT
2. ANKUNDA ROSETTE KAMBINE(MRS)

      Under the same directors, in the same year the school was registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports under license no. ME/P/12397

Developments

1. The school currently holds a population of above 700 pupils
2. Employs the staff of twenty two teachers and eight supports staff (members) all under their lovely administrator Mrs. Kambine Rosette Ankunda.
3. The school now runs from nursery to P.7.
4. The school now operates from its own premises.
5. Has sixteen complete permanent classrooms.
